Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten

 

Offered to 4 year olds, the Pre-Kindergarten classes are designed for children who have difficulty speaking and comprehending the English language in addition to those who are economically disadvantaged or homeless.

Eligible children can be transported to the school campus for this program. Students must be 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year in order to register for the respective program.

The elementary campus offers full-day Kindergarten. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept 1 OR have passed one or both parts of the third grade TAKS test to enroll in kindergarten. Developmentally appropriate activities emphasizing essential learning and thinking processes are the foundation of the curriculum. Communication with parents is done through conferences and locally designed assessment tools.
