A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Lexington Independent School District will be held on August 29, 2005, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Administration Building of the Lexington Independent School District at Lexington, Texas.

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are listed below.  Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice.

1.         Call to Order

2.         Budget Amendments for 2004-2005

3.         Adopt Budget for the 2005-2006 School Year

4.         Consideration and Adoption of a Resolution Authorizing the Issuance, Sale and Delivery of Lexington Independent School District Maintenance Tax Note, Series 2005; and Containing Other Matters Related Thereto

5.         Ordinance to Adopt Tax Rate

6.         Interview/Employ Architect

7.         Review Handbooks

If during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E or Government Code Section 418.183(f).  Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section or sections of the Act authorizing the closed meeting.  All final votes, actions, or decisions will be taken in open meeting.  [See BEC (LEGAL)]
